About Mindful Birthing
Mindful Birthing is closed for business. After three years of teaching Hypnobabies classes, I have chosen to move on to other focuses in my life.
As a certified Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis Instructor (HCHI), I offered classes teaching the Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis program. While I am no longer active in teaching Hypnobabies, instructors can be found by searching on the Hypnobabies website.
About Me
My name is Heather. I am a wife, and a mother to one baby in Heaven, one wonderful son, and two precious daughters. I wear many hats as a stay at home mom, homeschooler, birth educator, writer and blogger. I’m also trained as a Professional Christian Life Coach.
My passion for hypnotic birth began when I was first considering becoming a mother, but the fear of childbirth was holding me back. Through my search for a solution, I discovered the world of midwives, natural birth, and childbirth hypnosis. I was finally able to feel excited and hopeful about the birth process. When I became pregnant, I knew from the beginning I would use Hypnobabies. I did just that, and had a wonderful first birth experience. Even though my planned natural home birth didn’t go according to my plans, I still had a successful Hypnobabies birth. During my birthing time at home, and later in the hospital, I used the tools I learned in the program to completely enjoy the experience of bringing my child into the world. For my second and third births, I used Hypnobabies again and had completely natural home births. All three times, birth has been the most empowering and wonderful experience of my life! I loved sharing this incredible program with other families and encouraging women to experience positive births.
Based on my experiences teaching Hypnobabies, I’ve created my own childbirth education course to offer a personalized, flexible, and simplified program to students who’d like to learn and prepare for a natural birth, with or without using hypnosis. Better Birthing offers a Christian-faith-based course as well. These courses are available in online-only, remote, and in-person formats. Check out my Better Birthing website for more information.
I was trained as a life coach through Christian Coach Institute and graduated in May of 2017. Through that program, my vision for coaching was refined, and I discovered that my new skills could be used to support mothers through the stages of pregnancy, birth, and raising babies. My life coaching practice is Family On Purpose. Through Family on Purpose, I offer pregnancy-coaching, birth-coaching, and parent-coaching services.
As for writing, it is something I have enjoyed since I was a child. I believe God has gifted me as a writer, and I strive to use my writing to encourage others and share God’s love. I’ve been blogging since 2011. My personal and lifestyle blog is “I Do… Now What?“
